A cold northern guy writing disco music, it already sounds strange, and that is the best definition of the music created by Hans-Peter Lindstrøm. This Norwegian producer uses the name Lindstrom as his stage name for his completely unusual dance music. It is more of a cold Scandinavian soundscape with a space twist and still some parts of the good old 70th afrobeat music. Hard to describe but if you manage to lay hands on his “I’ts A Feedelity Affair” best of collection, you will understand how cold dance music can be. It is a dancing robot party, it is a cold deep space voyage, is it even better live, because Lindstrom is more interested in experimenting, that just playing his hits.
Lindstrom himself says that this project was his final relief from compromising his musical view in his previous bands. As an artist he is more interested in exploring sound and not in entertaining the crowd. One fan at a show is already enough for him. So maybe this independent attitude is the key to his spectacular music and it makes tracks like I Feel Space and Further Into The Future sound so awesome.
